Guarantee
- Faulty goods will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Remote Entry Systems free of charge.
- This guarantee is subject to the goods being installed by us.
- All goods not installed by us carries a carry in guarantee and is subject to the correct installation and application of goods as laid out in the applicable documentation, available on our website. The carriage of goods is for the customer’s account. Call-outs will be chargeable.
- All goods supplied by the client, installed by us will be without guarantee from Remote Entry Systems. Call –outs arising from faulty products will be chargeable. The onus is on the client to arrange replacement or repairs of faulty products directly from the supplier.
- All claims must be accompanied by the original paid invoice.
- This guarantee is only valid if the full invoice was paid.
- Only technicians from Remote Entry Systems are allowed to work on goods installed by us that is still under guarantee. If any other company/person work on goods installed by us, the guarantee will be null and void effective immediately and Remote Entry Systems will be free from any obligation as to repair or replace such item.
- We will attend to a guarantee claim during normal working hours. If an after-hour call-out is requested, an emergency call-out fee is payable irrespective of the product still being under guarantee.
- The guarantee is subject to normal operating conditions and the proper caring and servicing of the goods as per maintenance requirements.
- All goods installed or stored on site will be the responsibility of the owner/client. Should any damage or theft occur to the goods, the client will be liable to pay for the damages.
- Warning: Do not drive through a moving gate or garage door, nor park or stop your vehicle in the path thereof even if you have safety beams fitted.
- It is the owner's resposibility to:
- keep all tracks clean, all motors and electronics free from dust and insects, all moving parts lubricated.
- treat all wooden doors with a wood sealer 3 months after installation then 12 months and then at least once a year. No varnish is to be used on wooden garage doors.
- notify the office of Remote Entry Systems as soon as a fault is evident so that we can correct it as soon as possible. Failure of notification can lead to the guarantee being cancelled if we must replace a part that could have been prevented by notifying us in time.
- do a monthly overview inspection and quarterly maintenance on an electric fence and ensure that the fence is always in a safe and good working condition. This is a statutory requirement as per SANS 10222
Maintenance requirements:
- Gate and garage door motors - Every 6 months
- Garage doors - First service after 6 months and then every 12 months
- Electronic locks - Every 6 months
- Electric fence - Every 3 months as per SANS10222
- Alarms - Every 6 months
- CCTV - Every 6 months
- Traffic barriers- Every 6 months
- Solar installations - Every 6 months
- Access Control - Every 6 months
