Our History

About Remote Entry Systems – Stellenbosch’s Leading Security & Automation Company

Established in 2000 by founder R.A. Rohlandt, Remote Entry Systems has grown from a sole proprietorship working from home into the flagship provider of gate automation, CCTV, access control, and perimeter security solutions in Stellenbosch and the greater Western Cape.

Over the years, we’ve expanded steadily:

2000 – Company founded in Stellenbosch as a home-based operation.

2002 – Moved into our first central Stellenbosch office.

2004 – Registered as a Close Corporation.

2005 – Relocated to larger premises in Plankenbrug Industrial Area.

2007 – Purchased our permanent Stellenbosch headquarters.

2017 – Registered as a private company.

We also offer a 24-hour emergency call-out service to ensure uninterrupted protection for our clients. Our Stellenbosch office serves both the public and the trade industry, supplying top-quality access control equipment and security products from leading brands such as Cisa, BBL, Et NICE, Centurion, Nemtek, Paradox, Ajax, IDS, Kokom, Commax, BPT, Dahua, Hik Vision, Paxton, Impro, and Accentronix.

Whether it’s installing automated gates, integrating CCTV surveillance, securing perimeters with electric fencing, or supplying advanced access control systems, we work across the Western Cape, Boland, and surrounding areas — and further afield by request.
