Guarantee & Warranty Policy

Warranty conditions:

  • Goods installed by Remote Entry Systems qualify for our in-house guarantee.
  • Goods not installed by us carry a carry-in guarantee and must meet the correct installation and usage requirements as per product documentation (available on our website).
  • Transport or carriage of goods is at the customer’s expense.
  • Call-outs for non-warranty repairs will be chargeable.

Goods supplied by the client:

  • Items supplied by the client and installed by us are not covered by Remote Entry Systems’ guarantee.
  • Any issues arising from faulty client-supplied products will require the customer to arrange repairs or replacements directly with the supplier.
  • Call-outs for such products will be charged.

Guarantee requirements:

  • All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original paid invoice.
  • The guarantee is only valid if the full invoice has been paid.
  • Only Remote Entry Systems technicians may work on products installed by us under guarantee. If any other person or company performs work on the goods, the warranty becomes null and void immediately.

Service hours & emergency call-outs:

Warranty claims will be attended to during normal working hours.

If an after-hours visit is requested, an emergency call-out fee will apply, even if the product is still under guarantee.

Guarantee & Warranty Policy – Remote Entry Systems (Stellenbosch & Western Cape)

At Remote Entry Systems, we stand by the quality of our installations and products. We offer repairs or replacements for faulty goods at our sole discretion and free of charge, provided that the items were installed by our own technicians.

Owner’s responsibility & maintenance:
The warranty is valid only under normal operating conditions and with proper care and maintenance:

  • Keep tracks clean, motors and electronics free from dust/insects, and all moving parts lubricated.
  • Treat wooden garage doors with wood sealer (not varnish) 3 months after installation, then every 12 months.
  • Notify our office immediately if a fault is detected — delays can void the guarantee if damage could have been prevented.
  • Electric fences must undergo a monthly visual inspection and quarterly maintenance to comply with SANS 10222 requirements.

Maintenance schedule:

  • Gate & garage door motors – every 6 months
  • Garage doors – first service at 6 months, then annually
  • Electronic locks – every 6 months
  • Electric fence – every 3 months (per SANS 10222)
  • Alarms – every 6 months
  • CCTV systems – every 6 months
  • Traffic barriers – every 6 months
  • Solar installations – every 6 months
  • Access control systems – every 6 months

Important Safety Warning:

Never drive through a moving gate or garage door, and never park or stop in its path — even if safety beams are installed.
